My Puppy dog Jacky has been staying in my home for one month. And he is already became the small baby in my home. He changes my whole family, and I seems to become a father because I need to take care of him. Like a new father, I met lots of problems to take care of my new son, Jacky.
Like other new dog owners, the first problem I met is how to feed my puppy Jacky. It is very difficult to understand what my puppy Jacky needs from his daily diet. There are lots of important components that need to be included in puppys' diet to make sure he grows in the healthy way. As I learned from "Puppy Care" books, I need to prepare the food very carefully to make sure it is delivering the enough nutritions like proteins, fats, amino acids, fatty acids and various vitamins and minerals for my puppy Jacky.
At the beginning, I plan to cook the raw food for my puppy. But after a while, I give up my brilliant idea, because I even don't cook for myself :). So the alternative way is to choose a commercial dog food for him. I spent the whole day in the supermarket which is near my home. At that day, I found a lot of dog food brands, such as Wellness dog food, Science Diet, Pedigree, Blue and Natural Balance, etc. But after I read the label, none of them are suitable for my puppy dog. Most of them are for adult dogs or seniors. So I am afraid to say "mission failed" at that day.
It seems to be a long way for me to find out the right dog food for my puppy Jacky. And the dog food I feed currently is from my friend. It will be running out in next week, and I must hurry up or my dog Jacky will be starving.
